On this homepage you can find three documents

  1. Thonner's Analytical key to the families of flowering plants
by R. Geesing, A.J.M. Leeuwenberg, C.E. Ridsdale and J.F. Veldkamp, pubished in 1981.

This book is a revision of an originally German book, now translated to English:
Anleitung zum Bestimmen der Familien der Blütenpflanzen , 2nd ed.1917,
    by F.Thonner, an Austrian botanist.

This document is the html edition of Thonner's Analytical key to the families of flowering plants
on internet since 1999 with permission of the publisher.

  2. Wenken en Raadgevingen betreffende het gebruik van Indische planten, vruchten enz.
    by Mrs J. Kloppenburg-Versteegh editon 4 1934, the first edition dates 1911.

The title can be translated as:
Hints and indications concerning the use of (Dutch) Indies plants, fruits etc.
This is a book describing plants and parts of plants used in
the Dutch Indies (now Indonesia) for medicinal purposes.

Interesting in her book is not only the inclusion of recipies but also
the way of describing affections and diseases and their causes.
It is an ethno-pharmacology book of historical interest.

In 1933 a colour atlas with drawings of numerous plants was published.
The drawings in the Atlas and the text in
Wenken en Raadgevingen betreffende het gebruik van Indische planten, vruchten enz.
    are integrated in this html-document.
The document is on internet since 2005 without permission.
This publication is the final version, besides correcting misspelled words. It is not clear whether I am allowed to publish this.

  3. Natin spicy garden

This document is about my botanical garden in Ao Nang in Krabi Province in southern Thailand.
    The language is only English.
Since the end of 2005 the garden is under construction, but visitors are welcome.
Beginning 2009 the garden will be open for public.
At this moment we have more than 500 different species in the garden: spices, fruit trees, vegetables, medicinal plants etc.
